What are DataSets?

A dataset is an ordered group of references to Data Objects and/or Data Attributes contained in an IEC 61850 data model. These data are organized for the application requirements and to optimize communications. The list of members and their order is known to client and server or publisher and subscriber so that only the name of the dataset and the list of values must be transmitted.
